Having never been on safari before, I had no idea what to expect for accommodations. Before my trip, I did extensive research into what to bring to make sure I had all my bases covered while out in the bush. What I didn't expect were accommodations rivaling those of any urban city I've visited, such as decent Wi-Fi, amazing chefs, laundry and cleaning services, a swimming pool, and more.

Planning any trip can be stressful, but planning a safari can be especially tedious due to the fragmentation and a vast number of private and public lodges and reserves. I was fortunate enough to be traveling to South Africa to attend the wedding of my close friends who arranged all aspects of the trip, such as transportation from the airport to Kruger (~ 5-hour drive), the lodge accommodations, and more.
